New web-based Guide to Community Involvement in AIDS 2008
The Guide was created by the International Council of AIDS Service Organizations (ICASO) and the Global Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (GNP+) to increase the understanding and participation of communities in the 27th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2008). http://www.icaso.org/aids2008community/.

CEDPA and the Global Coalition on Women and AIDS are pleased to announce a new initiative, Advancing Women’s Leadership and Advocacy for AIDS Action, aimed at achieving greater and more meaningful participation of women, particularly women living with HIV/AIDS, in decision-making at all levels to ensure programs, policies and funding respond to the unique impact of HIV/AIDS on women and girls.
The initiative consists of two complementary components—the training component implemented by CEDPA and its partners, the International Community of Women Living with HIV/AIDS, the International Center for Research on Women, and the National Minority AIDS Council and the small grants program implemented through the Global Coalition on Women and AIDS, UNAIDS.
LATIN AMERICAN AND CARIBBEAN WOMEN LIVING WITH HIV MEETING IN PANAMA

It brought together positive women from different countries from the region, including female leaders of the home, sex workers, drug users, ex- prisoners, migrants, indigenous women, young women among others. On 9-10 October 2006, Addis Ababa University and the Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health organized an interesting conference for over 480 participants in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia: "Linking Reproductive Health and Family Planning with HIV/AIDS Programs in Africa." As is often the case at such meetings, useful information was shared that led to more questions needing answers.

Positive Women’s Forum: International Women’s Summit, July 4, Nairobi, Kenya
The World YWCA, in partnership with other international organisations, will convene an unprecedented international conference on Women’s Leadership and HIV and AIDS, uniting 1500 women of all ages and HIV statuses and other stakeholders. The summit will take place in conjunction with World YWCA Council on July 4-7, 2007.
