Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Would it be possible for you to send some information leaflets to distribute to our clients?
A: We don't currently distribute information leaflets. This may change in the future, and when this occurs we will inform you through the website. For now, please use our website for any information that you need, especially under the Current Activities and Publications section.
Q: I am very interested in attending conferences etc., and I was wondering whether it was possible to get a scholarship from ICW?
A: As we are a small organisation with limited funds, we do not give individuals scholarships. We can help you by giving information on how to obtain a scholarship from conference secretariat/conference organisers, however we urge you to contact the conference organisers first.
Q: I would be grateful if you would send me information on conferences.
A: We post information on future conferences on the front page of our website, so please check the website on a regular basis. There is also the events and conference calendar.
Q: I would be very interested in volunteering for ICW. Would you be able to help me with this?
A: Send us in your current CV, giving a brief description of the skills and expertise which you can bring to ICW and how ICW can help you. Consideration will be made upon application. Please send these to info@icw.org
Q: How do I find out about groups of People Living with HIV/AIDS that are working on prevention.
A: Please contact your nearest regional ICW representative. Addresses and emails are on the contacts page.
Q: I am a HIV positive woman for X years now, I am not on medication for which I am very thankful. I have read that positive people are having healthy children and I would be very interested in meeting other women who also want to consider having a baby, can you help me with this please?
A: If you join ICW you have access to the ICW community and can ask any HIV/woman related questions. You can also contact your regional contact for information about HIV+ women's groups in your area.
Q: Do you have a mailing list? If so, may I please be put on it to receive publications etc?
A: If you join and become a member of ICW (HIV+ women only) then you receive the quarterly newsletter and the ICW Survival Kit free of charge. As a non ICW member, individuals can also subscribe to ICW for £15 per year. Organisations can subscribe to the newsletter and Survival Kit for £40 per year. If the organisation is small and cannot afford this easily, arrangements can be made for a lesser donation in return for subscription. Please contact ICW for more information info@icw.org.
Q: How can I become an ICW member?
A: It's very easy, just go to ICW Membership for further information or just join us today by printing out and completing this form.
Q: Can I receive funding from ICW?
A: Unfortunately, we are a small charity with limited resources and are unable to help. We do not have any resources to fund external projects, but would like to wish you the very best of luck in your search for funding.
