ICW is the only international network by and for HIV+ women. It was founded in response to the desperate lack of support and information available to many of us world-wide. Our aim is to improve the situation of women living with HIV through self-empowerment and the exchange of information.
We would love to involve you in our work.
We have different categories of affiliation:
ICW Membership: This is free, confidential and is for HIV positive women only. Members receive a free newsletter 4 times a year, if they want it. They have the opportunity to make contact with other HIV positive women in their own country or globally. Our membership is growing quickly and it would be great if you would like to join us. Membership will also grant you new rights in this website, including facilities to subscribe to the email newsletters, chat with other HIV+ women, join in on our message forums and lots more. If you would like to become a member, please click here
If you are already a member and want to be registered on this website, please register.
ICW affiliation to other groups of HIV positive women: This is also free. If you belong to, or know of a group of HIV positive women in your region or country, we would love to hear from you. We often receive requests for speakers and for positive women to be involved in meetings in different parts of the world, which you may be best placed to talk at. We would also like to learn from you what local issues you are facing regionally. We want to campaign at a global level around the issues facing you and keep you in touch with other positive women's groups. We would be glad to form an alliance with you. If you would like to form an alliance with ICW, please contact us at info@icw.org, adding 'Affiliation' to the subject line.
ICW Care-Givers' group: This is a group which is just starting up, intended as a support network for women who may themselves be negative, untested or HIV positive, who are caring for others with HIV.Women who are caregivers often feel very isolated, unsupported and unacknowledged. We hope that some care-givers will soon join this group, so that you can decide together on a common agenda and purpose for the group. We hope this link will be helpful to you. If you would like to join the ICW care-givers' group, please contact ICW at info@icw.org, adding 'Care-Givers' Group' to the subject line.
Friends of ICW: ICW depends entirely on voluntary support and contributions and we warmly welcome your support. Most of our volunteers are themselves HIV positive women, but we also welcome support from negative or untested women. Please contact us at corinne
icw.org, for further information about any volunteering opportunities in your region. You may prefer to support us financially. If you would like to make a one-off donation, or donate something on a regular basis, please go to our donation pages. In return for your kind support, if, you want, we will send you a copy of our newsletter. We will also be developing a new newsletter, specifically for our friends.
